On traditional crowdfunding sites, backers send money and simply hope the creator delivers. This project uses smart contracts so money is released only when backers agree that promised milestones have been met.
A creator launches a campaign with a goal, a deadline and milestones such as "prototype ready" or "first batch shipped", each with a share of the funds. Backers contribute ether, which the contract holds in escrow. When the creator requests a milestone payment with evidence, backers vote with weight proportional to their contribution; if the majority approves, that amount is released.
If the campaign misses its goal by the deadline, every backer can claim a full refund from the contract. A Next.js interface shows campaigns, progress bars, live votes and transaction history, with MetaMask for signing. The contracts are protected against common attacks such as re-entrancy, tested with Hardhat and deployed on the Sepolia testnet.
