Problem Statement & Abstract
Telemedicine lets patients in small towns consult specialists without travelling. This Flutter app provides the full journey for patients and doctors on Android and iOS.
Patients search doctors by speciality, language and fee, see available slots and book appointments. At the appointment time both join a one-to-one video consultation built on WebRTC, with in-call chat and the option to share reports and photos. Doctors manage their weekly availability, see the day’s queue and write an e-prescription that the patient receives instantly as a PDF with the doctor’s registration number.
Every patient has a medical record with past consultations, prescriptions and uploaded lab reports, accessible only to the patient and the doctors they consult. Reminders are sent before appointments and for medicine schedules. A small Node.js signalling server connects video calls, and Firebase handles authentication, data and file storage. The report covers privacy, consent and India’s Telemedicine Practice Guidelines.
